Administrative/Biographical HistoryIn his black & white work, Bob Mizer switched from 4"x5" medium format to 6cm medium format in the early 1970s. The contact sheets in this sub-series range over that decade, and are largely the only format he shot, before moving exclusively onto 35mm in the 1980s.

Scope & ContentContact sheet for Medium Format work shot in the 1970s. A roll of film was usually 12 exposures, Mizer cut into 3 strips of 4 images to fit on this contact page. Name is inscribed in Bob Mizer's handwriting on most sheets. These would have corresponding negatives.

Archival HistoryMizer originally kept these Black/white contact sheets in a series of 3-ring binders [1970s]. When the estate was packed, the sheets were relocated into boxes [1994]. Upon purchase from Wayne Stanley by Dennis Bell [2003], sheets were re-organized to Mizer's original order by John Fugazzi, volunteer of Bob Mizer Foundation. Sheets were scanned and catalogued [2012-14] by volunteers De Kwok and Denise Chiang. Database import [2020].
